The Department of Computing and Information Technology conducted an academic industrial visit to Computer for Schools Kenya (CFSK), Nairobi, to support practical learning and industry exposure. The visit was aligned with course requirements in hardware, maintenance, sustainability, and ICT infrastructure. Students engaged in practical sessions on e-waste management, computer refurbishment, PC maintenance, motherboard components, and sustainable ICT practices. The visit enabled students to gain hands-on experience, connect theory to practice, and strengthen practical skills in hardware and systems. The activity successfully supported competency-based training and achieved its learning objectives.

The Department appreciates Dr. Faith Mueni, the Chair of Department, for organizing and facilitating the visit, Dr. Fortine Mata for supporting the activity, and the technical support team who accompanied and guided the students throughout the sessions.
